SAGA.M7 - Management Server -

SAGA.M7 - Management Server - is a system that controls and handles availability and loadbalancing. Besides the OpenConnect Products like SNA Access Server, SNA Print Server and OC://WebConnect PRO, it is also possible to watch and loadbalance Apache Webservers and alsoSAGA.M31 - Galaxy - components. All status events trigger scripts that allows to execute any command. This provides the functionality to restart a server or completely move the server to a different platform even in another timezone.
Using an own SNMP-MIB all states can be centralized in any main Managementserver in an organization. This MIB uses a SAGA D.C. own structure enterprise.14163 to provide SNMP status and also traps. This will work also for the OpenConnect System components that did not provide any SNMP Interface at all in the past.

SAGA.M7 is completely written in Java and platform independent. The plan for Version 3 (End of 2005) are to integrate SAGA.M7 inside an Application Server.

A specific communication path between a server an the agent allows to execute any command in a secured environment on the agent platform.
Another benefit of SAGA.M7 is the planning of Maintenance windows either on a regular basis or sporadically so that the control of the process or server will be suspended for a defined time.This mechanism works timezone oriented so that a process that has been moved into another timezone will be controled by the timezone.
